Overwhelming

Pick your colors, pick your season, pick your date...
White or Ivory??? Indoor or Outdoor??? Day or Evening???

SO MANY DECISIONS TO MAKE IT'S OVERWHELMING!!!!

The colors have been chosen.

I don't know whether to call it eggplant or concord or lapis (that's what David's Bridal calls it) but basically dark purple. I'm going to call the other color lime, but it's not like a green highlighter... there are going to be limes in the centerpieces so that's the accent color. This is one of the pictures that inspired us!!!

That was a surprisingly easy decision to make... hopefully once we really get going on the planning, all of the decisions will prove to be easier than they seem to be right now.

Jason's decided that he wants a white vest and tie with his tux, so there's another decision made.
The bridesmaid dresses were going to be black, but once I saw dresses in dark purple, I fell in love with them so that's what we are shooting for. The color is easy enough to pick... the style is going to be RIDICULOUS because all of my girls have very different shapes. I just want everyone to be comfortable in the dress, I want it to be something they COULD wear again and I don't want them to spend a ton of money on the dress. I know that not all of them are going to LOVE their dress, but I want everyone to at least be comfortable.

Wedding planning from 1,000 miles away is going to be a challenge for my sanity. I am someone who wants to be able to get things done, and I usually like to do them myself so it's going to be hard. I've done all the research I can online and I have a million lists of everything that I can think of, and now it's going to drive me crazy that I want these decisions to be made and I am just going to have to wait to make them.

The next task...

I think it would be fun to do a formal request for each of our attendants to be in our wedding and this DIY bride is going to do it with a homemade letter and t-shirt for each person... once I make them I'll take pictures and put them up.
