Feedback Friday

Now that I know I have some people reading my blog, I'm ready to take advantage of the vast knowledge that is my readership and ask you for your advice and suggestions... ENTER... Feedback Friday.

Every Friday, I'll post a topic and I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to get your thoughts, experiences, and whatever else you'd like to offer me  :-D

Without DELAY... here's today's topic!!!

CAKE

So, we know that rather than doing a huge "show" cake for our 300+ guests, we want to do a small cake for the ceremonial stuff and then do sheet cakes to serve.  I hate the taste and texture of fondant (it makes me feel like I'm eating plastic) so the sheet cakes will give us the chance to use regular frosting.

THE QUESTION... how many flavor options should we offer and what should they be(for a summer wedding)?  What are the best cake and icing flavor combinations you've had at weddings?

Happy weekend!!!

When I think of a summer wedding, I think of some lemon or raspberry....Kathie

  2. omg, any flavor as long as there is an abundance of BUTTERCREAM!!! NOMMMMM!!!!

Some flavors that might be good are, like, strawberries and cream, chocolate hazelnut, plain chocolate, or almond and vanilla. All yummy, yummy options.

I don't think you need any more than 3 flavor options.

I agree with the other ladies, we're personally doing a red velvet cake with regular icing (I also don't like fondant). One of our colors is red, and I just thought it would be beautiful even after being cut with red velvet.
