I have a dream about my wedding a while back that I never blogged about. It was a short dream and all I really remembered about it was that we forgot to bring JUST about everything to the venue and when we got in the car to go back for it, it wouldn't start.
SO, last night I had another dream about the wedding, which still had things wrong, but not nearly as scary.
First, we was not in Indiana where we are scheduled to have our wedding... we were in a small town in Michigan where my mom grew up and I'm not really sure what type of facility it was, but it had an outdoors.
Second, my dress was too short. So short, in fact, that you could see my purple shoes. This probably came up in the dream because I'm scheduled to take bridal portraits on Friday and my dress is still not in. I was told that it would be there by the first week in October, but it's not yet...
Third, J was not waiting for me at the end of the aisle during the ceremony. No... it was not because he got cold feet, it was because he came and met me at the beginning of the aisle because he wanted to see how I was doing before I walked down the aisle... sweet of him to be worried about me, but he was holding up the ceremony and everyone saw him walk up the aisle to me and they were really confused.
Fourth, I saw J after the ceremony and asked him if the DJ had the music for the mother-son dance, and he said to me, "what are you talking about? My mom is the one that picked the music... I've never heard it". I was so worried that his mom would be upset and he said, "don't worry about it... I'm sure the DJ has something that he can play". I'm pretty sure this came up because J's mom DOES know what she wants to dance with him to, but he has not talked to her about it.
Finally, our reception, or at least the DJ, was set up outside in something that resembled a picnic area. The power went out and the music stopped for a long time. I wasn't really all that worried, though, because it gave me a chance to go to the bathroom before our first dance. The DJ got the music back on, but he couldn't get his lights back on, so we ended up dancing on the middle of an outdoor basketball court.
Overall, nothing about the things that were going wrong seemed to have me panicking in my dream, which I'm sure would NOT happen if those things were to actually go wrong on July 2, 2011. I still have 9 more months until my wedding... I can't imagine how many more dreams I'm going to have about the wedding between now and then. Hopefully they are all fairly tame and I don't wake up screaming and in a cold sweat.
I hope the anxiety dreams stop! How come dreams like that are always so vivid? :( Your engagement photos are FABULOUS, btw!
