Mother of the Bride Dress - CHECK!

I posted a while back that my mom and I went shopping and found her a dress.  Well, she ordered it on the website we found and she got it and it's WAY too big.  She got measured and it should have been fine, but she said that she just doesn't think that the tailor who fixed my gown would even be able to make it fit.

SO, she's sending that one back.  She went out shopping and found a dress that she really likes as JC Penny's!  My concern with my mom all along is that she is not normally a fancy person, but this is one of those days where she should be fancy... she's the Mother of the Bride!  So, although I wanted her to find something that was her style, I also wanted it to be fancier than something that she would wear to someone else's wedding as a guest.

She called me on Sunday to tell me all about the dress she ordered and the one she found.  So, here's a picture of the new dress...

It's actually really nice that this lady has short hair because it helps me to better imagine what it will look like on my mom , who also has short hair.  I really like the dress and I think she'll be more comfortable in it than she would have in the other one, even though the other one was really awesome, too!

So now both of our moms have their dresses.  I thought I had a pic of J's mom's dress, but I can't seem to find it.  I'll have her send it to me.  I'm glad my mom found something she likes... hopefully she will find some cute shoes like these, too... fancy shoes make the dress!!!
