WELLLLLLLLLLL, the last few days have been interesting, to say the least. I'm sorry I missed a few days on my blog... I've been a little bit overwhelmed. As if a wedding in 10 days was not enough, I have also accepted a new job and will be starting 3 days after we get back from the honeymoon. The bad news... I'm still sad to leave my current job, my current co-workers (who are so much fun and who I love working with) and my current students (who are amazing). I'm sure I'll feel better about it once I get there... I'm sure it's just that I'm still overwhelmed and it's all happening so fast. The good news... this is an AMAZING opportunity... having to leave a job that I absolutely love should be worth it to get closer to my family (I'll now be about 3 hours away from my parents instead of 16) and have a group of people with a great reputation to work with!
So, I got the offer last Friday morning... accepted the job last Friday afternoon... my last day is this Friday, we'll be driving up there to look at houses on Saturday and see what we can find... get ready for the wedding... get married a week from Saturday... go on the honeymoon... come home and be at work 3 days later. YIKES!!!
So I'm moving to Indiana... wow... that's all I have to say. I know the next couple of days are going to be crazy and also sad. I'm sure my employees are going to make me cry as I leave... I'm sure my co-workers will too... after four years at my current job and tons of great friends, I'm moving on and I'm going to be in the same state as my family... it's very bittersweet.
i'm glad you have a new job even though it's bittersweet! congrats ;)
ReplyDeletewow! congratulations! Change is often very difficult...but it's kind of exciting all the things happening at once for you..so you can just settle down into married life, with a great new job, and your family closer :) yay!
ReplyDeleteWow! You've got so much going on and while it's all good, I know how overwhelming that can feel. Congratulations on the opportunity, and best of luck as you get everything settled!
