Mother of the Bride - Revisited

You may remember that I wrote about my mom finding her dress... but alas, I should have known that it was just too easy.  So she got the dress and it was WAY bigger than it was supposed to be.  She tried to send it back and the 30% restocking fee (which we knew about) turned into a 30% restocking fee PLUS a $50 shipping fee. SOOOO, basically she would be getting $20 back.  WTF... moral of the story...

DON'T ORDER FROM THE BUYER 100 WEBSITE.  Their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee is B.S. and I've never felt so mislead and manipulated by a store.

OK, so back to the MOB dress.  I think we've found a few options for her... hopefully one of them will work.  She found this dress at JCPenny... but the one she found is too big and I haven't actually been able to find any in stores near me.

There's a chance that a store that's at least in the metroplex will ship me the dress for a $10 fee, which would be worth it if that's what she really wants.

I really like this one, but I'm not sure if my mom will like it and I usually like her better in a V neck.  In the few reviews I've read, the negative comments tend to be that it made the person look "hippy" which is always my mom's concern with dresses.

I looked at Dillard's and Macy's today too, but the selection they had was horrible.  Apparently there is a large line of dresses that are available only online, which would have been good to know before I went out looking, AND they only allow returns for 30 days, but I may get one or two that I found online and send them to my mom just before I go up for my Indiana shower.

So, the moral of the story is we are still looking.  I hope we can find something for her soon just so she doesn't have to worry about it anymore.
